Rules and regulations vary by county and state. In Southern California, you'll need to visit your local health department and fill out a body art license form. You'll also need to complete a 2-hour online Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP) certification course, which teaches proper health and sanitation. This course is required annually and typically costs $25–$50. We’ll go over all of this with you in class.

This is a 3-day in-person training, held over consecutive days, typically from 11am-7pm. Class times may change, however, once you enroll, you will be informed of exact class times.

That’s totally normal — and exactly why this class exists. You’ll learn in a safe, supportive space with personalized guidance. By the end, most students are shocked by how confident they feel.

You’ll learn how to create clean, delicate fine line and tiny tattoos using our beginner-friendly techniques. During class, we’ll practice a range of designs, including but not limited to:

1. Floral – single flowers and dainty bouquets

2. Personal – names, dates, or meaningful handwriting

3. Celestial – suns, moons, stars, and constellations

4. Whimsical – butterflies, sparkles, and playful accents

5. Minimal – tiny symbols, fine script, and simple lineworkItem description

We’ll focus on these styles for hands-on learning, but you're not limited to them — you'll be able to apply what you learn to a wide range of designs after the course.

Yes! We teach you how to use ProCreate to create custom and flash designs. We’ll provide you with tips for design creation even if you can’t draw freehand. We’ll also provide you with resources to help you with creating stencils

You’ll have access to after-class support by your instructor and the Beautific Studios team, invitation to student-only educational workshops, you’ll get shadowing opportunities, optional bed rentals, apprenticeship and career opportunities.

Absolutely. This training is a perfect add-on for PMU artists, estheticians, or beauty pros who want to expand their services and income.

Tattooing in the U.S. is regulated at the state and local level — not federally — so there’s no such thing as a nationally accredited tattoo school like there is for colleges or universities. Each state has its own requirements for becoming a licensed tattoo artist. Our program is designed to align with industry best practices and local health regulations. We provide comprehensive, hands-on training that emphasizes safety, technique, and professionalism. Upon completion, students receive a certificate of completion, which can be a valuable component when applying for state licensure or apprenticeships, depending on local requirements. We offer guidance on navigating the licensing process in your specific area, ensuring you're well-prepared to meet any additional criteria set by your local health department or regulatory body.
